First Intel Xeon processor was produced in 1998. This series was developed and designed for entrepreneurs with need of processor for workstation or a server. These are based on the same architecture as processors designed for home use but they support additional technologies like Memory RAM ECC, additional cores, supporting bigger size of Memory RAM or cache memory. Those additional technologies guarantee stability and continuity work where ordinary units would not have a chance.
